Ravioli Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 26 oz jar of pasta sauce
  • 25 oz package of frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 ½ to 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Lightly coat a 9x13 or 11x7-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook the Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and crumbled.
    • Drain any excess grease.
  3. Prepare the Baking Dish:
    • Spread 1 cup of pasta sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the Ingredients:
    • Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
    • Add half of the beef mixture, then top with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
    • Repeat the layers: another cup of pasta sauce, the rest of the ravioli, the remaining beef, and finish with the remaining cheese.
  5. Bake Covered:
    • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake Uncovered:
    • After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted.

 

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve this casserole with a side of garlic bread and a fresh salad for a complete meal.
