Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning (1 packet or 2 tablespoons homemade)
  • cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup salsa

For Serving

  • 12 taco shells or small flour/corn tortillas
  • Assorted toppings (see suggestions below)

Instructions

  • Place chicken breasts in the Instant Pot and add chicken broth.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning evenly over the chicken, then pour salsa on top.
  • Secure the lid, select the "Poultry" setting, and cook for 12 minutes (fresh chicken) or 15 minutes (frozen chicken).
  • Once cooking is complete, perform a quick pressure release.
  • Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the pot.
  • Serve in taco shells or tortillas with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • If using smaller chicken breasts, reduce cooking time by 2-3 minutes.
