Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tsp cornstarch (optional, for crispier texture)
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium chicken stock
  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional, we recommend Sriracha)
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    In a bowl, toss the chicken cubes with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Cook the Chicken:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    Add butter and let it melt, then add the chicken cubes.
    Sear the chicken on all sides until golden brown, about 6–8 minutes. (If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.)
  • Make the Sauce:
    Once the chicken is cooked, add minced garlic, honey, chicken stock, lemon juice, and hot sauce (if using).
    Stir well, coating the chicken completely.
    Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until it thickens and clings to the chicken.
  • Finish & Serve:
    Sprinkle with fresh parsley and red chili flakes for garnish.
    Serve immediately over rice, pasta, zucchini noodles, or a fresh salad.
