Ingredients
1 lb 85% lean ground beef
3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Montreal-style steak seasoning
2 tbsp softened butter (or as needed)
6 slices white bread
6 slices Colby-Jack cheese (or preferred cheese)
Instructions
Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning until well combined.
Shape the mixture into three equal-sized patties.
Cook the Patties
Heat a nonstick griddle over medium heat.
Cook the patties for 4 to 6 minutes per side or until an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Assemble the Sandwiches
Heat another griddle over medium heat.
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place half of the bread slices on the griddle, buttered side down.
Add a slice of cheese, a cooked patty, and another slice of cheese on top of each.
Cover with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
Grill the Sandwiches
Cook for 6 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Serve & Enjoy
Serve hot with your favorite sides or dipping sauce!
Notes
Feel free to swap Colby-Jack for your favorite cheese.
Try using rye, sourdough, or whole wheat bread for a twist on flavor.
