Juicy Air Fryer Meatballs

Sharing is caring!

These homemade meatballs are everything you love about comfort food—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor.

All made in the air fryer in under 15 minutes!

This is one of those go-to recipes I always come back to when I need something quick, satisfying, and family-approved.

They’re perfectly browned on the outside, soft in the middle, and made with a simple mix of beef, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan.

Serve them over spaghetti, tucked in subs, or on their own with dipping sauce.

However you plate them, these air fryer meatballs are sure to become a weeknight favorite.

For Air Fryer Meatballs

  • Ground Beef – Lean ground beef (about 85%) adds hearty flavor and keeps the meatballs juicy.
  • Seasoned Bread Crumbs – Helps bind the mixture while adding extra flavor from built-in herbs and spices.
  • Egg – Acts as a binder to help hold the meatballs together while they cook.
  • Milk – Adds moisture to keep the texture soft and tender.
  • Parmesan Cheese – Gives a savory, cheesy depth that pairs perfectly with the meat and herbs.
  • Fresh Parsley – Brightens up the flavor with a touch of freshness.
  • Italian Seasoning – A balanced mix of dried herbs for classic meatball flavor.
  • Onion Powder – Adds that sweet, savory base without needing to chop fresh onions.
  • Salt – Enhances all the other flavors.
  • Black Pepper – Adds a gentle kick and rounds out the seasoning.

1. Should I preheat the air fryer before cooking meatballs?
Yes, it’s a good idea to preheat your air fryer. A quick 3–5 minute preheat ensures the meatballs cook evenly and develop a beautifully browned exterior.

2. How can I keep the meatballs from sticking to the basket?
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray before adding the meatballs. This helps prevent sticking and makes cleanup much easier.

3. What internal temperature should meatballs reach?
Meatballs should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F to ensure they’re fully cooked and safe to eat. Use a meat thermometer for the most accurate results.

4. Can I cook frozen meatballs in the air fryer?
Absolutely! Place frozen meatballs in a single layer and cook at 380°F for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking.

5. How do I store and reheat leftover meatballs?
Store cooked meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes or until warmed through.
