  1. Can I use low-fat cream cheese?
Yes, you can use low-fat cream cheese as a substitute for regular cream cheese. It will still work well and cut down on some of the richness.
  2. How do I prevent the dough from sticking to the pan?
To keep the dough from sticking, line your baking dish with aluminum foil and lightly coat it with cooking spray. This will make removing the bars much easier!
  3. Can I substitute fresh lemons with bottled lemon juice?
For the best flavor, fresh lemons are preferred, especially for the zest. However, you can use bottled lemon juice in place of the fresh juice if necessary, but it may lack the fresh, zesty kick.
  4. Is it necessary to chill the bars after baking?
Yes, chilling the bars for at least 1 hour after baking allows them to set properly, making them easier to cut into neat squares and enhancing the texture.
  5. Can I freeze these bars?
Absolutely! You can freeze the bars once they’ve cooled completely. Just wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and foil and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months. Let them thaw before serving.
